About Agreements
A clear overview, in simple terms — what it is, why it matters, and how we handle it.
A business agreement is enforceable when it has a lawful purpose, clear terms and the right stamp duty for the state where it's signed. Many contracts can be signed electronically through Aadhaar eSign, but some documents — such as property sale deeds and wills — can't. Tax clauses (GST, TDS, withholding on foreign payments) are often where disputes start.
We draft and review the contracts businesses use most — services, vendors, employment, NDAs, partnership and shareholder agreements — and check the clauses that affect tax, payment and termination.
Drafting and stamping are done with our partner advocates, who also handle disputes if they arise.
| Stamp duty | Set by each state; e-stamping available in most |
|---|---|
| E-signing | Aadhaar eSign valid for most contracts (not property sale deeds or wills) |
| Tax clauses | GST, TDS, foreign withholding and gross-up |
Work that the law requires a advocate to sign or represent is delivered through Indus Tax's partner professionals; our team prepares the records, coordinates the filing and stays your single point of contact.
