About Director KYC
A clear overview, in simple terms — what it is, why it matters, and how we handle it.
A deactivated DIN blocks every filing the director signs, including annual returns. We track each director's cycle, file the KYC with OTP verification, and reactivate deactivated DINs.
Every person holding a DIN must complete DIR-3 KYC. From 31 March 2026 it is required once every three financial years instead of every year, through the web-based DIR-3 KYC form, and changes in mobile, email or address must still be reported within 30 days. If KYC isn't filed, the DIN is deactivated and reactivating it costs ₹5,000.
| Frequency | Once every three financial years (from 31 March 2026) |
|---|---|
| Form | DIR-3 KYC Web |
| Changes | Contact details updated within 30 days |
| Late | DIN deactivated; ₹5,000 to reactivate |
