What it is and how we handle it

For a small business, GST mistakes are rarely about tax rates. They come from choosing the wrong scheme, missing a quarterly payment, claiming credit a supplier never reported, or not knowing that a B2B customer stopped paying because your invoices weren't uploaded.

This plan starts with a review of your sales mix. If most customers are consumers, composition or QRMP may cut your work; if they're businesses, monthly uploads keep their credit flowing and your payments on time.

After that it runs like clockwork: we collect your sales and purchase data, match credit, file both returns, share the challan in advance and flag suppliers who are costing you credit.

FAQs

Common questions for GST Filing SME in Rajasthan.

Search FAQs
7 results.
Is composition better for a small business?
It is simpler and cheaper in tax if you sell to consumers. But you can't issue tax invoices, your customers can't claim credit, you can't claim credit on your purchases and you can't sell goods to other states. For B2B businesses, the regular scheme is usually better.
If I choose QRMP, do I still pay every month?
Yes. Under QRMP you file quarterly but pay tax in each of the first two months through PMT-06 — either a fixed 35% of the previous quarter's cash tax or the actual tax due. The third month is settled in the quarterly GSTR-3B.
What happens if I pay PMT-06 late?
Interest at 18% a year applies to the tax paid late. Missing PMT-06 also makes the quarterly return heavier and can affect your cash flow at quarter-end.
Do you keep my books as well?
We can. Many small businesses combine GST filing with monthly bookkeeping so the same entries feed GST, TDS and the income-tax return. See our basic accounting and bookkeeping plans.
What is the GST state code for Rajasthan?
08. Every GSTIN issued to a business registered in Rajasthan — including Rajasthan — starts with 08, followed by the business's 10-character PAN.
Does a Rajasthan business need a separate GST registration in another state?
Yes. GST registration is state-wise: you need a separate GSTIN in each state or union territory from which you make taxable supplies. Extra premises inside Rajasthan are added to your existing registration as additional places of business.
Who handles GST notices for a business in Rajasthan?
Each Rajasthan taxpayer is assigned to either the Commercial Taxes Department, Rajasthan or the central (CGST) administration — your registration certificate shows which. Notices from either are answered online on the GST portal.
