MCA Company Search: Check Company or LLP Master Data on mca.gov.in (2026)
Before you sign a contract, extend credit or invest, check the company on the MCA portal. Here is how to read the master data, what each company status means, and the key ROC due dates.

Why check MCA master data
The MCA master data is free and shows whether a company actually exists, whether it is active, and whether it keeps its filings up to date — along with its CIN, registration date, capital, registered office, directors and charges.
How to view company or LLP master data
No login is needed:
- 1Open mca.gov.in.
- 2Go to MCA Services > Master Data > View Company or LLP Master Data.
- 3Enter the company or LLP name, or its CIN or LLPIN, and the captcha.
- 4Select the correct entity from the results.
- 5Review the company details, directors or designated partners, charges, and the dates of the last AGM and balance sheet.
What each company status means
The status line is the first thing to check:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Active | Registered and not struck off |
| Strike Off | Name removed from the register — it cannot do business unless restored by the NCLT |
| Under process of striking off | Removal started by the company or the ROC |
| Amalgamated | Merged into another company |
| Dormant | Given dormant status under Section 455, for a future project or to hold assets |
| Under liquidation / Dissolved | Being wound up, or already dissolved |
MCA V3 login for filings
Filing on the MCA V3 portal needs a registered user ID. Directors, professionals and authorised representatives register at mca.gov.in as business users with PAN and contact details, and sign e-forms with a DSC. CAs and CSs certify many forms from their own accounts.
Key annual ROC due dates
Late filing attracts an additional fee of ₹100 per day per form, and long defaults lead to director disqualification and strike-off.
| Form | Due date |
|---|---|
| AOC-4 (financial statements) | Within 30 days of the AGM |
| MGT-7 / MGT-7A (annual return) | Within 60 days of the AGM |
| ADT-1 (auditor appointment) | Within 15 days of the AGM |
| LLP Form 11 (annual return) | 30 May |
| LLP Form 8 (accounts and solvency) | 30 October |
