Income Tax
TIS (Taxpayer Information Summary)
Simplified summary of the AIS showing category-wise income aggregates for use in ITR filing.
Full Definition
Taxpayer Information Summary (TIS) is a processed summary of the Annual Information Statement (AIS) that shows aggregated income by category. Where AIS lists every individual transaction, TIS shows the category total (e.g., total interest from all banks). TIS values are pre-filled in the ITR for salary, interest, dividends and capital gains. If you disagree with a TIS value, you should first submit feedback in AIS before filing ITR.
