# ISO Certification

> ISO certification confirms that a business runs a management system meeting an international standard — ISO 9001 for quality, 14001 for environment, 45001 for occupational health and safety, 27001 for information security, and 22000 for food safety. The certificate is issued by an independent certification body after a two-stage audit, and is valid for three years with yearly surveillance audits. Choose a body accredited by NABCB or another IAF member.

ISO certification is voluntary, but tenders, export buyers and enterprise customers often require it. The value is only as good as the certificate's accreditation — certificates from unaccredited bodies are routinely rejected in tenders, so we work only with accredited certification bodies.

Our role is the preparation: gap analysis against the standard, procedures and records that match how you actually work, an internal audit and management review, and support through the certification body's stage 1 and stage 2 audits.

## FAQs

### Is ISO certification issued by the government?

No. ISO (the International Organization for Standardization) writes the standards but doesn't certify. Certificates are issued by independent certification bodies; in India, accreditation of these bodies is done by NABCB under the Quality Council of India.

### Can I get ISO certification in a few days?

Genuine accredited certification needs a working system and two audits, so it usually takes weeks, not days. Very fast, cheap certificates often come from unaccredited bodies and may be rejected.

### Which ISO standard should an IT company get?

ISO 27001 for information security is the one most clients ask for. ISO 9001 is useful for quality processes, and ISO 27701 adds privacy management on top of 27001.
